Luke 10:25-42

“What do you do?” It’s usually the first question we ask when we meet someone new. We’ve come to measure ourselves and each other by what we produce. So it’s no surprise that when a lawyer comes to Jesus, his first question is, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” Good, faithful work matters; Scripture honors it again and again. But faith is not a to-do list, and we are more than the work we do. This week we’ll explore what it means to be a human being, not just a human doing, and the belovedness that holds us because of who and whose we are.
